The Malayalam language romantic comedy centered around youth, mostly older teens, is written and directed by Omar Lulu. The cast includes so many newcomers like Roshan Abdul Rahoof, Priya Varier, Noorin Shereef, Siyadh Shajahan and Michelle Ann Daniel.

movie portrays the school life of different school children. The video was uploaded
on YouTube 9 February 2018 as part of the promotions. The main focus of the
musical trailer is on two school kids portrayed by Roshan and Priya Varier
having fun by raising their eyebrows one at a time to each other. Priya finally
winks at Roshan with one eyebrow raised and this is the part that became a
worldwide hit. The video went viral and both Roshan and Priya became the talk
of the world. Priya especially became an instant sensation among every guys and
was praised for her beauty, cute expressions and lovely smile.
The original version of the song "Manikya Malaraya Poovi", a Mappila song, was written by P. M. A. Jabbar with music composition by Thalassery K. Refeeque in 1978 and was part of a music album released in 1992. Jabbar, also known as Ustaad, has written over 500 songs. However, with the release of this revised modern version by Vineeth Sreenivasan for the movie and mixed and mastered by Biju James @ VGP studios, Chennai, the video was an instant viral hit at No.1 position with over one million views and over 50,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
