Xmas Decorations- Smiling Snowman Magnet- Daniel's Christmas Magnet

Just recorded the magnet. Wanted to see how it would look on screen.
Here it is:
Video of Daniel's Christmas Magnet

A Magnet named Daniel

My wife and I was shopping when we spotted this small round shape magnet. It was few weeks before last Chirstmas. The magnet has the name Daniel on it. It looks really cute. The greeting 'Merry Christmas' is engraved at the top. A smiling Snowman stnads in the center. The background is a night scene with stars. Mistletoes surround the Snowman. And the name Daniel is engraved at the bottom on which the Snowman stands. Since it was very cute and colourful and also since our Son's name is also Daniel, we bought the magnet. And now it's put on the magnetic side of our shelf in the living room. A really good looking and cute stuff. It also has a loop at the top so you can hang it on the Christmas Tree as an Xmas Decorative as well. Cute, we like it :)

India defeats Australia- Ponting century in vain- Aussies out of World Cup- India wins in World Cup enters Semis against Pakistan

Australia out of Cricket World Cup 2011

Finally Australia loses! India defeated the Aussies!

India have done it. First Pakistan defeated the Aussies in the Group Stage and now India defeats them in the Quarters. India now plays against Pakistan in the Semi final! Batting first, Shane Watson and Brad Haddin made a good start until the 9th over when Watson was bowled by R Ashwin. Enter Ricky Ponting, the Aussie Captain who led the Aussies to World Cup victories twice in a row, but now completely out of form, and is desperately looking for a big score especially in this important pressure match against India. Punter played a classic innings and scored his 5th World Cup 100 under pressure. With good support from David Hussey at the other end, Ponting made 104 from 118 balls when he played straight to the hands of Zaheer Khan in Ashwin's 48th over. A classic innings by a classic batsman! Aussies 260 for 6 in 50 overs. Ashwin, Khan and Yuvraj claimed 2 wickets each.

Indian Tigers chasing the Kangaroos!

After a good start Sehwag fell giving way for Gambhir who was a bit rusty in this tournament so far. Then began a good foundation. Sachin and Gambhir started to build a good partnership while Sachin also completed 18000 runs in ODIs. Just when everyone thought Sachin would get to his century he nicked one to Haddin on 53. Once more a partnership ensured between Kohli and Gambhir who registered his 50. After the loss of Dhoni who tried to go for a big one, for the team's cause, though it looked like one for the crowd and that consecutively in 2 matches, Yuvraj, the man in form, came out and displayed his talent and maturity. Along with a sensible Suresh Raina, Yuvraj steered India to the semis and in the process thumping out the Mighty Aussies out the World Cup and making way for a new Champion Nation. For the Aussies, Lee, Watson, Tait and David Hussey took 1 wicket each.

Good Luck India

On 20th March 2011, India faces Pakistan for a spot in the finals. Can Afridi and his boys do it for Pakistan? Will Dhoni's talented team do it for India? Will the viewers witness their favourite cricket war once again? Let's wait and see... In the meantime South Africa will play against New Zealand tomorrow. Good luck to both teams.

Happy International Women’s Day- From Mothers, Wives & Daughters to Maids, Lovers & Queens- Women, we love them all! Tribute to Women!

From Mothers, Wives & Daughters to Maids, Lovers & Queens- Women, we love them all!

"So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”

Genesis 2: 21-23

Tribute to Women

Women, you are strong and you are smart. You are intelligent and you are beautiful. Though you openly shed tears, you have that special inner force which gives you that extra bit of psychological edge over we men. And you are well appreciated for everything you do. You take care of your children, your home and your husband. Not only are you smart in prioritizing and performing daily home duties, but you also efficiently manage organizations, hospitals and educational institutions. You are a source of inspiration for all. You are God’s blessing for each one of us in this world. Keep going Women!

The women we know in our lives are many....

As a Son we know our Mom.

As a Grandson we know our Grandma.

As a Brother we know our Sister.

As a Nephew we know our Aunt.

As a Boy friend we know our Girlfriend.

As an Uncle we know our Niece.

As a Husband we know our Wife.

As a Dad we know our Daughter.

As a Father in Law we know our Daughter in Law.

As a Grandpa we know our Granddaughter.

You all deserve to be loved. Happy International Women's Day! God bless you all :)

(Scripture Genesis 2: 21-23 from Holy Bible- New International Version)

Malayalees in Baltinglass Ireland- Indians in Baltinglass- Few Asians in Baltinglass and Delicious Restaurants in Baltinglass as well!

Indians in Baltinglass Ireland

Leaving your hometown and trying to settle in a new place isn't always so easy. But if the new place is beautiful and the people around you are friendly then a place like Baltinglass is one of the best places to set foot in! Beautiful Baltinglass with Glorious Glendalough as it's right-hand man!
As a Malayalee, in India, I have been witness to some of the most beautiful places in the world. Kerala alone is a paradise for all Malayalees worldwide. While India is visited for it's Taj Mahal, a gem of a structure, Asia is remembered for God's own Country, Kerala! So leaving a beautiful place behind and stepping into a new place is always considered to be a strain. But as for the Indians in Ireland, Ireland is no strange country for any newcomer. It is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. And Beautiful Balto is home to few Indians too.

Delicious Restaurants and Takeaways in Baltinglass Ireland

There are few Malayalees and Tamilians in Baltinglass. And so South Indian food is obviously in demand. Earlier there was an Indian Hotel run by few Bangladeshis but it is now moved to Carlow. Many of our friends reside in Carlow, Dublin and Bray. And each time they visit us they just can't stop admiring this wonderful Baltinglass countryside. There are also few other Asians in Baltinglass like Chinese, Thai, Bangladeshis, etc:-. Of course there are also Chinese and Thai restaurants in Balto Town. Along with these, Baltinglass is also home to other delicious and mouth-watering restaurants and takeaways like few Irish local and other European eateries like Borza, Germaines, Bia Blasta, Fulvios and few other eat-outs. You really wouldn't want to miss out on these for sure! And most of them are open on Sundays too!

A major fire broke out in Bandra over the slums and suburban areas near the East Bandra Railway Station in Mumbai, India. So far no deaths have been reported. Everyone escaped the rapid blaze within minutes. Yet there were many who got injured while trying to cover for safety. Though the Firefighters tried their best to control the fire, their efforts couldn't stop the majority the dwellers being left homeless. Over 2000 of the people are now homeless.

Rubina Ali Child Actor in Slumdog Millionaire

The list also includes Rubina Ali, the Child Actor in Danny Boyle's Box Office Hit and Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire. She said she was relieved that all her family members were safe but sad that all memories of her movie success was reduced to ashes. Meanwhile, investigators are yet to confirm the exact cause for the fire breakout while few locals have reported that explosions caused by gas cylinders led to the fire. Few Firemen are also said to be injured during the firefight.

IRELAND CELEBRATES CRICKET!!! TEST STATUS FOR IRELAND! Will ICC approve? GO Green!

IRELAND CELEBRATES CRICKET!!!

Click to read IRELAND DEFEATS ENGLAND!

Click to read FASTEST CENTURY BY KEVIN O BRIEN!

Ever since Ireland started out in International Cricket, they have been winning constantly and that too by upsetting few of the top teams in the world. The 3rd of March 2011 was no exception either. The Men in Green has stunned the England Team which further shows that Associates should be included in future World Cups as well. It not only gives them the experience to face the world's biggest teams but also the experience of playing in a major tournaments like the World Cup. The ICC should take steps to ensure that countries like Ireland and Netherlands do get the opportunity to participate in tournaments involving the top sides. This will help the Associates to learn how to play competitive Cricket under huge pressure so they will bring out the best in them. So Congratulations Ireland!!!

TEST STATUS FOR IRELAND INCHES CLOSER...WILL ICC APPROVE?

It wont be a surprise if Ireland soon become not only the ODI World Champions but also the Test Champions! But will the ICC approve Test status for Ireland? The way the Irish are playing they definitely will get the Test status. So the question is not 'will' but 'when'! When will ICC approve the Test status? That is what the country is hoping to hear as soon as possible because the young talent in the squad may not have the patience to wait for a long time. They may follow the footsteps of Ed Joyce, Eoin Morgan and many more. But in the meantime, GO Green!

IRELAND DEFEATS ENGLAND! Kevin O Brien fastest Century in ICC Cricket World Cup 2011! GO GREEN!

IRELAND VICTORY IN WORLD CUP! HISTORIC RUN CHASE...INDIAN FANS SUPPORTED THE IRISH!
Bangalore Cricket fans witnessed an outstanding and unbelievable match between England and Ireland. Outstanding because both teams made runs in excess of 300 courtesy the fastest World Cup Century by KJ O Brien- 100 from 50 balls and unbelievable because Ireland came out victorious by defeating the English team! The Green Team not only had their Irish fans cheering them up but for every run that an Irishman was scoring the Indian fans seated in the stadium jumped and shouted and waved their hands supporting the entire Irish Team who broke many records during the run fest!

Future Cricket Star Kevin O Brien

Batting first, England posted a huge total of 327 for 8 wickets in 50 overs. While Trott missed his century by 8 runs, IR bell fell for 81 and Kevin Pietersen for 59. For the Irish bowling JF Mooney was the most successful taking 4 wickets and DT Johnston striking 2. Chasing the target Ireland was down at 111 for 5 wickets in the 24th over when the historic event took place in the stadium. A see saw of a match saw KOB run out for 113 from 63 balls who hit 13 4s and 6 sixes, Cusack run out for 47, Stirling and Joyce both out for 32 & NJ O brien, elder brother of KOB, with 29 runs. The big guy KO Brien and his batting partner AR Cusack played their roles to life Ireland from ashes to glory. A last assault from Mooney saw his contribution of 33 from 30 balls bring victory for the Irishmen. Ireland won by 3 wickets with 5 balls remaining. K O Brien took the Man of the Match award. A historic triumph indeed! One of the best matches and one of the biggest upsets of the World Cup tournament.

KOB IS THE MAN! The new IPL MAN is KJ O Brien!

Well, now that 26 yo KOB has showcased his big hitting talents, the IPL may be looking to book him for their matchs very soon. After all, this was one of the biggest sporting moments in Irish history. An Irish fan has already said that even if Ireland does not defeat the remaining teams in the World Cup, it doesnt matter as the Irish team has defeated the English! This was the intensity of their win. ALL THE BEST TEAM IRELAND!!!
