Here is the thumbnail version of an image I have taken of the 'Pigeon Berry' shrub plant which is uploaded in Alamy website.
The ‘Pigeon Berry’ also called ‘Golden Dew Drop’ and ‘Sky Flower’ is more of a sub-tropical shrub and goes by it’s botanical name ‘Duranta Erecta/ repens’.
It grows best in moist and fertile soil bearing gold color berries and violet flowers.
While the flowers give out lovely fragrance, the berries are pickings for some birds and insects but poisonous to human beings.
However, it’s stunning looks and fragrance have crowned the ‘Pigeon Berry’ as beautiful and ornamental garden shrubs.
With a growth of over 6 feet and shaded by droopy branches these are also grown in containers.
In Kerala it is more popularly known as ‘Goldspot’ as it is a common beauty shrub in almost every household.
