This year has been the hottest so far and Ireland looks set to be roasted all through July. A member of the World Meteorological Organisation and Met Éirann’s former Head of Forecasting MR. Gerald Fleming said that more of this fiery weather can be expected. Probably the heatwave in the high 20s low 30s that Ireland received a week back may not return but mid-to-high 20s is definitely warm for Ireland. It’s not a common sight for those of us in Ireland who are usually used to see the sun hide behind the clouds even during the routine summer. There will be the odd shower or two but certainly not like what we have experienced all these years. So get set for what looks to be like a record setting hot July and make the most of it but please do put on your sun protection gear and creams and drink plenty of water.
