James Cashin, Ireland's longest serving Postman retires after 51 years

James Cashin started his duties at the age of 15, on October 10, 1966. James, now 67, loved his job as he loved meeting people and considered meeting the older people his privilege and part of the job. Hailing from New Ross, he wrote the Postman exam in Waterford in 1966 and hasnt looked back since then. He is loved by everyone and will surely be missed. Best wishes to him to a happy and well deserved retired life.
