Snickers Chocolate- Some of my favourite chocolates: Snickers, Kinder, Quality Street, Hersheys Kisses, Kit Kat, Lion Bar, Galaxy, Twix, Swiss

Snickers Chocolate Bar

Snickers is my all time favourite chocolate cum snack bar. I became an instant fan right from the first bite. For me nothing can really compare to Snickers.

I think it's got almost everything in it- cocoa, nuts, caramel and everything else that's tasty.

Sometimes a whole bar is so filling that I won't feel like eating anything else after that. That's one reason why I still have them while I travel. One bar and my hunger goes away. No more empty stomach in the car, bus or train.

At one time sharing my Snickers bar was a big 'NO'! Heh, of course I started sharing later on.... :) .....

Anyway, Snickers is something that goes right into your pocket or bag along with your keys, mobile, wallet and coins.

So just grab a Snickers and take your first bite. You'll love it! Enjoy... :)

BALTINGLASS FIRE- FIRE IN BALTINGLASS MEAT FACTORY- Firefighters fighting it out Deerpark view Industrial Estate Co Wicklow google map image

FIRE IN BALTINGLASS MEAT FACTORY

Fire has broken out in the disused meat factory at Baltinglass. Smoke can be seen rising very high into the air. Firefighters are doing their best to put it out while onlookers are viewing it from a safe distance. The facory is right next to Deerpark View housing estate in Industrial estate.

This is not the first time that Baltinglass hooligans have set the premises on fire. Residents are becoming more concerned as their complaints have fallen to deaf ears.

The residents say that either there must be Garda patrolling and CCTV monitoring with more street lights so it is safe for them. Otherwise the factory must be taken down so it does not attract unwanted human elements.

Here is a google map image edited with a message:

Visiting Bahrain after 20 years

It’s after 20 years that I finally came back to Bahrain. Though I’m an Indian from the state of Kerala, I was born and raised here. When I left Bahrain in 1995, I took along with me valuable and precious memories most of which I still remember today. However when I returned here in Feb 2015, I realised that a lot has changed in the last 20 years. The 1995 map that I had stored in my mind is no longer the one I saw now in front of my eyes. There have been so many changes. There are few things that still remain the same though. I was happy to see Sana building in Salmaniya. Then a few restaurants and cold stores too remain the same. Everything else has changed. I came here along with my family. I was meeting up with few of my old Indian School buddies, my relatives and old family friends. And yes we all had a fab time. Libu Babu George, our friend who passed away in 2014 was definitely missed.

Island of Bahrain now Kingdom of Bahrain

The last time I remember, Bahrain was called the Island of Bahrain and it was ruled by His Highness Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa. There was a Pepsi Cola factory where I lived near Zinj and of course we had the famous Pearl Of Barhrain standing strong as a major landmark. Bahrain was popularily called the Island of Pearls. I remember Shoe Mart and 21st Century Games near to Dairy Queen. On both Fridays I went to Marthoma Church service being held at National Evangelical Church (NEC) along with my relatives. I have so many wonderful memories of church, Sunday school, choir, prayer meetings and vbs at NEC.

Shawarmas, Salmaniya & Indian School

Indian School, Dairy Queen, Water Garden, Manama 2015
Well, this trip was a return to the past in one major way- we had shawarmas, burgers, sun tops, menu, etc-. We also visited our old parks like Water Garden and Adhari Park. We had burgers from Dairy Queen. We visited Manama, Bab Al Bahrain, Amwaj Island, Salmaniya, Segaya, Um Al Hassam. We went to see Saudi Causeway but it was closed as they were building a new tower. We did visit Tree of Life. But the most memorable place we visited was our old school, Indian School at Isa Town. We met few of our old teachers and sirs. Mrs Sequeira, Mrs Usha Jayakumar, Mrs. Laila Punoose, Mrs. Sreelatha, Mr, Vishwambharan, Mr. Abdulla from the Office, Mr Haji our Band Sir, Mr Benny our Volleyball Sir, etc-. It’s really God’s grace that we got to meet these teachers after so long. Many teachers left the school and few passed away like Mrs. Leelama, Mr Vasudevan, Mrs. Shangunni, etc.

Time was really short this time and so we have decided to visit Bahrain once more and visit more friends who we were not able to meet this time and visit even more places. Overall we all had a great time and Bahrain is a great place to visit.

Some pics of our Bahrain visit.

A Hero Among Our Friends

A Hero Among Our Friends

There’s a hero among us all.
http://sumod-sunny-joseph.blogspot.ie/
Champion Trophy for Friend

From our parents to our neighbours, from our leaders to the strangers on the street, from our soldiers to the families across the continents and millions across the globe. We believe we have seen them all, either on a daily basis or through the media. And yes there are numerous more we are certain we will come across in future. In fact the hero in us too, will surprise us at some point in our life.

But how many of us are aware of the hero among our own friends.

Yes, we have our favourite friends who help us with those highly valuable tiny bits of favours, we have our close friends with whom we can confide and inspire us with their timely counsels and we have those special friends who suddenly appear in our lives just in time when everyone else seems to be helpless. But what about those friends in our list who may or may not be close to us, the very friends who you think have got it all- those who you think are doing great in life while you were late in grabbing opportunities, those very friends who you think have problems that are no match for your mountain of problems. Do you think that the only heroism they have inspired you with is the fact that they had a great academic life, excelled in sports, singing and dancing, and is now well settled in life with the spouse of their dreams?

While they can give you those expert opinions on how to solve complex algebraic equations and theorems, train you on how to time yourself for that perfect smash on the badminton court and advice you on the best career path based on your interests and skills, do you think that this is the only heroic deeds you see in them? Or maybe the fact that they were motivated throughout their life for that perfect report card scoring, or that championship trophy or that company which will reward them with those big pay checks and perks for the softwares they develop. Was this motivation that you saw in their eyes that motivated you too and so, they are now a hero to you? If so, then yes, they rightly deserve that compliment because not only have they worked hard for it but they also helped you in the process. But have you ever realised that beyond all that motivation there could have been another major personal motivation that helped them fight their way through life.

Perhaps this personal motivation isn’t as big as those other motivations which helped you. But for them, in their personal lives, it was a major motivations and something they could not share with anyone else because what they were going through was indeed a survival tactic that was the need of the hour for each day in their life. We have all heard of stories where people have been victims of various kinds of abuse and how they came up in life just because of their will to survive and sheer determination that they will be a victor no matter what. So, what if there was a possibility that one of our friends was in a similar situation.

Maybe our successful friend is successful today because they endured a test of fire that probably none of us have endured, and in time they learnt to effectively crawl out of any situation no matter how hard or how painful the torments were. And that brought out the best in them- the fact that that they learnt not only to face struggles, but tolerate it, adapt to it, control it both physically and emotionally, find out ways and means to encounter it, search for outlets, select the best and most appropriate one for the moment and most of all finding the courage from within to say “come what may, I will move on” and finally using this courage in embracing the outside world. This outside world, where challenges are common and hard for the common man, where opportunities are plenty but not readily grabbed, where obstructions and attacks follow you on a daily basis. Yet these were hurdles that seemed nothing for our successful friend in our friends list.

Each day of struggle that they went through in their personal lives brought out the strength, determination and courage which they utilised not only to jump over those hurdles, but jump high enough to snatch that flag of victory and personally acknowledge that victory and be content with one more gem in their bag of jewels.

To bravehearts like these the fight is not over.

There are still many more personal and general trophies for them to achieve. As of now, thanking the Lord and moving on is a song they can never stop singing. In every corner of this world, there are many bravehearts that have sprung up in different situations. Some are known, some are not. But have we ever thought that we have braveheart friends such as these in our own lives, whose outward help and motivations are not the only thing that can inspire us, but also the way they fought their inward emotions in a world of physical battles, can teach us even greater things in life.

Today, will you speak to your friends, not to give your help, counsel or sympathy, but just to lend your ear to what they have to say? Will you be that outlet for them so they will be heard? Will you help them help you?

And today, for a change, will you be their hero?

To our brave and close friend, you are a champion for all of us!

"49 Days That Shook India" AAP- Aam Aadmi Party Aravind Kejriwal Striving for Jan Lokpal Bill which corrupt political dynasties are blocking

"49 Days That Shook India"

Yes, "49 Days" was all it took for corrupt, extreme and criminal political dynasties to have their eyes opened and get a glimpse of what India missed out on during the last 6 decades! Yet, these dynasties joined hands for one day just because that weed called Corruption is what they serve instead of that great nation called India!

Here is a summary of 49 days of Aam Aadmi Party Government in Delhi. This information and picture do not belong to me. It is from the Official Website of Aam Aadmi Party https://www.facebook.com/AamAadmiParty

Happy New Year 2014 Goodbye 2013

Happy New Year 2014 Goodbye 2013

2013 has gone by. Welcome 2014.

http://sumod-sunny-joseph.blogspot.ie/
WELCOME 2014
By God's grace and mercy we are once again alive and well to enter the new year. The past year was eventful in many ways. Lots of memories to cherish. Hope the new year promises more good news and wonderful memories.

Some of our loved ones have left the world and we definitely miss their presence at this moment when we enter the new year. We shall always keep them in our hearts and smile at all the memories that were shared together.

Babies were born into the world and into the hands of eagerly waiting parents. Precious moments. Praying that this year turns out to be a year of miracles for those who are still praying for children.

Many hands were exchanged in marriages and dreams were fulfilled. Let's pray that life partners for those seeking are found and many more dreams are fulfilled.

Tragedies have occured and lives were lost, homes were destroyed and hopes shattered in just seconds. Let us do our part and help those in need and pray that they are restored with all that they had lost and let the smiles come back on their face.

Thank God that we have got one more opportunity to do what we could not do, to speak what we could not speak and help those we could not help.

Each day is a blessing and oportuntiy for each of us to lend a helping hand and make a difference in this world.

Enjoy, be happy and keep praying.

Have a great 2014 and God bless you all :)
