IRELAND CELEBRATES CRICKET!!!

Click to read IRELAND DEFEATS ENGLAND!

Click to read FASTEST CENTURY BY KEVIN O BRIEN!

Ever since Ireland started out in International Cricket, they have been winning constantly and that too by upsetting few of the top teams in the world. The 3rd of March 2011 was no exception either. The Men in Green has stunned the England Team which further shows that Associates should be included in future World Cups as well. It not only gives them the experience to face the world's biggest teams but also the experience of playing in a major tournaments like the World Cup. The ICC should take steps to ensure that countries like Ireland and Netherlands do get the opportunity to participate in tournaments involving the top sides. This will help the Associates to learn how to play competitive Cricket under huge pressure so they will bring out the best in them. So Congratulations Ireland!!!

TEST STATUS FOR IRELAND INCHES CLOSER...WILL ICC APPROVE?

It wont be a surprise if Ireland soon become not only the ODI World Champions but also the Test Champions! But will the ICC approve Test status for Ireland? The way the Irish are playing they definitely will get the Test status. So the question is not 'will' but 'when'! When will ICC approve the Test status? That is what the country is hoping to hear as soon as possible because the young talent in the squad may not have the patience to wait for a long time. They may follow the footsteps of Ed Joyce, Eoin Morgan and many more. But in the meantime, GO Green!

IRELAND DEFEATS ENGLAND! Kevin O Brien fastest Century in ICC Cricket World Cup 2011! GO GREEN!

IRELAND VICTORY IN WORLD CUP! HISTORIC RUN CHASE...INDIAN FANS SUPPORTED THE IRISH!
Bangalore Cricket fans witnessed an outstanding and unbelievable match between England and Ireland. Outstanding because both teams made runs in excess of 300 courtesy the fastest World Cup Century by KJ O Brien- 100 from 50 balls and unbelievable because Ireland came out victorious by defeating the English team! The Green Team not only had their Irish fans cheering them up but for every run that an Irishman was scoring the Indian fans seated in the stadium jumped and shouted and waved their hands supporting the entire Irish Team who broke many records during the run fest!

Future Cricket Star Kevin O Brien

Batting first, England posted a huge total of 327 for 8 wickets in 50 overs. While Trott missed his century by 8 runs, IR bell fell for 81 and Kevin Pietersen for 59. For the Irish bowling JF Mooney was the most successful taking 4 wickets and DT Johnston striking 2. Chasing the target Ireland was down at 111 for 5 wickets in the 24th over when the historic event took place in the stadium. A see saw of a match saw KOB run out for 113 from 63 balls who hit 13 4s and 6 sixes, Cusack run out for 47, Stirling and Joyce both out for 32 & NJ O brien, elder brother of KOB, with 29 runs. The big guy KO Brien and his batting partner AR Cusack played their roles to life Ireland from ashes to glory. A last assault from Mooney saw his contribution of 33 from 30 balls bring victory for the Irishmen. Ireland won by 3 wickets with 5 balls remaining. K O Brien took the Man of the Match award. A historic triumph indeed! One of the best matches and one of the biggest upsets of the World Cup tournament.

KOB IS THE MAN! The new IPL MAN is KJ O Brien!

Well, now that 26 yo KOB has showcased his big hitting talents, the IPL may be looking to book him for their matchs very soon. After all, this was one of the biggest sporting moments in Irish history. An Irish fan has already said that even if Ireland does not defeat the remaining teams in the World Cup, it doesnt matter as the Irish team has defeated the English! This was the intensity of their win. ALL THE BEST TEAM IRELAND!!!

Sound Sensor Toys Babies Love- Birds tweeting when I snap my fingers

Sound Sensor Bird Toy
This toy is a cage with two birds in it. You can also hang this cage so everyone can get a good view of it. The special thing is that these are sound sensored birds. The birds tweet when they hear a loud sound like a clap or someone shouting. I'm not into Physics but I know there is some kind of mechanical sensors which produces this sound when sound waves hit them. This is a good toy especially when you have babies as they will immediately stop crying and stare at the birds when they hear the tweeting. So happy tweeting!

Chak De India! ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Fans hoping India, Australia or South Africa most likely Champions

Are India Favourites?
(The photo is original which I have uploaded in Alamy. Please contact Alamy for commercial inquiries)
Billions of Indians around the world have only one dream right now. India must bring home the Cricket World Cup 2011 Trophy! Dhoni & Co. must be crowned the Champions! So will this happen? Well, for the last two years India has been playing some of the best Cricket ever and they are the current No. 1 Test playing nation as well. Yes the Australians are the No. 1 ODI side but India is quickly closing in on them. So if they continue this current form they are sure to be the champions in the World Cup Tournament that started on the 19th of February 2011. And the opening match was also won by hosts India when they beat co-host Bangladesh. Sri Lanka, co-host as well, is also a strong contender for the cup. Do you think Team India will win?

Aussies and Proteas are also Champion Nations

Well, the current Aussie Team may not be the old 'Never say Die' Team but they still have some fighters who is still being led by the Cricket Legend Ricky Ponting. Ricky who is the next best after Sachin Tendulkar when it comes to stats seems the best person to win the cup for Australia. South Africa, as always, the nemesis for both Australia and India is also a top contender for the Trophy.

Pakistan and England

However, there are still some who favour Pakistan and England. While Pakistan is the Dark Horse who can surprise anyone at any time, England are close behind with the Ashes and Twenty2o Trophies in their pockets. So fans all over the world are watching the matches hoping for their favourite team to win the World Cup.

A Special One Leg Dancer- Talented Malayalee Girl dancing to Bollywood song in Trivandrum Kerala India

Special Talented One Legged Dancer
This is a dance performed by a very talented Malayalee girl who has only one leg. I don't know her name but she definitely dances very smartly. Good steps and good balance. At first it was sad for me to watch as I was only thinking about her disadvantage. But later I saw how confident and smart she was. She was dancing so nicely that I forgot about her physical condition. Everyone was amazed to see this girl dance like a professional Bollywood Dancer. She surely is a blessed young girl. I'm sure she is an inspiration to many of us in this world. Good Work Special Girl!

Praise God for Another New Year! Happy 2011 Everybody! Goodbye 2010 Welcome 2011!

Goodbye 2010 Welcome 2011!
Goodbye 2010 Welcome 2011! Well, one more year has gone by. We thank God for all His Love, Mercies and Blessings. A Victorious Life in Jesus' Name! It's been a blessing for us the last one year. A major blessing was the birth of our firstborn son Danny. A new life for us too. A new life with new responsibilities.
Mumbai Reunion :)
Last year I also travelled to Mumbai for my eldest brother's wedding with his sweetheart. My Mom, Elder Bro n his family were all present. So I had a chance to spend time with most of my family members and with my Cousins and Relatives from Mumbai. It was more like a Mumbai Reunion.
Pampered, he was, and to the maximum! Very Very Cold!
In November we visited our folks in Kerala and Bangalore. It was the first time Danny's Grandparents saw him. And how glad they were! Pampered, he was, and to the maximum! We returned to Ireland by December 2010 and we just missed the huge snow by a week! We may have missed the snow but we really don't miss the frost and cold. Very Very Cold! Will be glad to see the subshine later on this year.
All the Best
We pray that this new year too will be a blessed one not just for us but each n everyone of u. We pray in Jesus' name that God's love, protection and salvation comes to each and every homes in this world. Amen. God bless u all. Happy New Year... Happy 2011!.... :)
"May the Lord make you increase, both you and your children.
May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth."

A Beauty called Noorommavu

Nooromave Friends:

The people of Nooromave are wonderful! They are friendly, helpful and very humorous. You will never get bored with them. The best way to kill time in Anicadu is to spend time in the Kavala (Junction) either sitting near Kunjumonchayan's Bakery or Mid-Way Bakery or at the bus stop or at the Multi-purpose Volleyball ground. The atmosphere is very nice and you won't believe how many great people you would be meeting. There was a time when these Nooromave Boys were involved in so many different kinds of adventures. Now most of them are settled in different parts of the world either for work or higher studies. Well, here is a video I made of some of my Nooromave friends. The photos were taken by me and few other Nooromave Guys. I didn't have everyone's photos with me but once I get them I will put them in the next music video. The songs in the video are soundtracks from the movies Narasimham and Yodha- both starring Megastar Mohanlal, who has a huge fan base in Anicad!

Here's the video of the Nooromave Guys:

Some of my favourite chocolates: Snickers, Kinder, Quality Street, Hersheys Kisses, Kit Kat, Lion Bar, Galaxy, Twix, Swiss

Some of my favourite chocolates
Chocolates may be fattening but the pleasure you get from it is unimaginable! Most of my favourite chocolates are the ones I have eaten during my childhood days in Bahrain, Arabian Gulf. So yes, chocolates is one of the many things that form my Bahrain memories.  Now, I don't die for chocs as I used to earlier. May be for fun sake I may gorge on them while with my friends or in the company of kids. But my old die-hard craving for them has gone away. Few of them still remain in my heart though. I still love Kinder Surprise egg chocolate! Initially I used to love it for the toys that comes inside it, just like every other normal toy loving kid. But over the years the chocolate also has become a special pleasure for me (in addition to the toys which I still love)! I also enjoy Kinder Joy chocolate but not as much as the egg choc though.
Some of my FAVOURITES are:
1. Snickers
2. Kinder
3. Quality Street
4. Kit Kat
5. Dairy Milk
6. Nutella
7. Toblerone
8. Twix
9. Galaxy
10. Hersheys Kisses
11. Lion Bar
12. Bar One
13. Few other Swiss chocs (don't remember the names) and many more...

Drawing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Part 1-Trying this after almost 15 years... Michaelangelo Head

COWABUNGA DUDES!!!

I used to be a big fan of 'TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES'....Heh, in fact I still am fond of all my childhood cartoons, comics & toys! Maybe not as fond as before but atleast a little bit...Well, I used to draw the Ninja Turtles during my school days. I was very good at drawing them. Most of my drawings came out good while sitting in the classroom listening to my teachers but paying more attention to my drawings in my notebooks and textbooks, of course without being caught that is! I have also made few comics where I have included most of my favourite characters. Nothing is complete though. Anyway, I tried drawing Michaelangelo few days back but unfortunately I lost it completely. I couldnt draw the head, the arms, or the legs without any errors. I feared that I lost my talent. But after around 15 years, its not my talent that was lost, but the skill I had has gone rusty because I didnt bother to draw like I used to all these years back. I know I will lose it very soon though if I dont start drawing soon.

So here I am trying to get back to my drawing skills. I'm starting by drawing a Ninja Turtle's head, preferably Michaelangelo's! Here's the video...

My friend paid Rs 1000 for today's Cricket match at Kochi- India vs Australia with no Sachin, Sehwag, Gambhir, Ponting & Sreesanth

My friend's Facebook update read "After buying tickect for one day..the very evening i came to know...sachin,sehwag...zaheer nor bhajji is playing the series...now it's non stop rain..hmmmmm...hmmmmmmmmm"

Haha...I spoke to him and he said he had no words to describe his situation. India was scheduled to play against Australia in Kochi today. But the Indian team was without Sachin, Sehwag, Harbhajan and Zaheer Khan. The Aussie team was without Ricky Ponting as well. What a shame! This ODI series is between the two top teams in the world. It promised lots of action and drama. Unfortunately most of the fans dont get to see the stars they paid to see. Who knows- it could have been the last time we would have got to see Sachin and Ponting playing against each other. Heh, it could have also been the last time Sreesanth would be bowling to Ponting...

Of course it is an opportunity for the youngsters to claim their position in the team while ultimately, the whole nation will be supporting India to win irrespective of the stars' absence in the field. But just like some 'Sachin' loyal supporters and fans, my friend too didnt know that these Cricket stars were missing. He was really shocked when he came to know about it. And to add to his dismay, the match has been abandoned because of non-stop rain and by now I'm sure he must be eating his ticket. I havent asked him if he will get it refunded though. Heh heh....Yeah these kind of things happen to everyone. Even I have faced situations like these. Haha....But it's fun when you think about it later- heh, laughing at our own misery...hahaha......Well, the good news is that all those who bought the ticket also got a free blue colour Nike T-shirt along with it. So, I think he is happy because he can atleast keep the T-shirt as a memorable item. Chak de India!

Areas for improvement Indian Embassy Dublin Ireland

The buzz is increasing among Indians on how rude the Embassy Staff are towards applicants. Refer 'Complaint against Indian Embassy, Dublin' published in www.gopetition.com by www.marunadanmalayalee.com .Now, there are a few people who have not been treated in this rude manner. But most are victims. It is for this majority that a petition is being filed to the Ministers hoping for a miracle. Of course there are those who say that 'there is no use because afterall this is a complaint against Indian Government Officials being made to the INDIAN Government'. But that is only a statement and remains to be seen if there will be a solution or not.

Anyway, here are few areas where I think Indian Government should intervene and 'HELP' the Indian Citizens. Readers can add more areas whereby Indian Embassy Dublin, Ireland can improve:

1. People travel for hours in order to reach the embassy, so please ask the staff to pick up the calls so doubts can cleared over the phone.
2. Staff may be busy which is why they dont pick up calls, which is fine, so then hear the messages recorded in Voicemail and call back later.
3. Or atleast SMS asking to call at a free time.
4. Please reply to messages sent to the Indian Embassy website.
5. Train staff on how to use Email so service delays can be avoided.

Complaint against Indian Embassy Dublin Ireland Marunadan Malayalee & GoPetition Video

Complaint against Indian Embassy Dublin, Ireland
Okay, this was something that was expected and awaited but long overdue. For those who have faced all kinds of unresolved issues with the Indian Embassy staff, there is a petition being filed in the website 'http://www.marunadanmalayalee.com/'. The peition 'Complaint against Indian Embassy, Dublin, Ireland' has been published in the website 'http://www.gopetition.com/' by 'http://www.marunadanmalayalee.com/' from 14 September 2010 and will be sent to the 'Minister of External Affairs' and 'Minister of NRI, India'. GoPetition International is an online global petition hosting service provider, receiving petitions from over 75 countries. This service is for those who have been mentally and physically harrased by the Indian Embassy Staff in Dublin, Ireland.

GREAT INDIAN SERVANTS, HELPERS & AUTHORITIES- POLITE, PLEASING & PROFESSIONAL!!!

"Obviously the term 'Servants' doesnt mean that we see them either literally or practically as 'Servants', but instead, we see them as our 'Respected Authorities' sent by our great nation 'India' to 'HELP' us....And this 'HELP' is expected to be delivered in a polite, pleasing and professional manner..."

Now why would anyone complain against their own nation's representatives? It is understood that the Embassy staff are chosen as the 'Country's Public Servants' appointed to listen, serve and resolve all matters and issues involving not just the citizens, but also foreigners who directly or indirectly need to deal with India. Obviously the term 'Servants' doesnt mean that we see them either literally or practically as 'Servants', but instead, we see them as our 'Respected Authorities' sent by our great nation 'India' to 'HELP' us in getting our passport renewed, adding spouse name, changing old address to new address, applying for Indian Visa, and all other related services. And this 'HELP' is expected to be delivered in a polite, pleasing and professional manner, keeping the mind India's national integrity and well-being of it's citizens.

CRUEL, PATHETIC & UNBELIEVABLE ???

"...another had to resort to a 'Sit-down' (a person sitting down in protest and not leaving the place until he gets what he was entitled to..."

However, it is with great sorrow & regret that some of us Indians in Ireland, confess, that the situation India's Citizens face in the Indian Embassy in Dublin, Ireland is absolutely cruel, pathetic and unbelievable!!! Though applicants stoop to even their lowest back position in order to beg to get their query cleared or service delivered, the so called 'HELPERS' give more of the hardest time to everyone. Just imagine- while one person had to wait for almost 3 months to get this wife's name added in his passport, so he could complete further formalities and bring his wife to Ireland, another had to resort to a 'Sit-down' (a person protesting by not leaving the place until he gets what he was entitled to as per the rules but was denied thereof) so he could get his son's passport which was supposed to given to him within weeks. And this is just 2 examples out of thousands, where applicants are not even informed that their applications have been rejected for whatsoever reasons, and keep waiting in vain wondering what is happening with their requests.

"RESPECTED SIR, PLEASE PICK THE CALL ATLEAST ONCE!!!"

"...forget it dear Indians because you have just wasted precious money on stamps..."

In almost all cases, most of the undesired confrontations could have been avoided had the staff called back or sent an email or atleast an SMS. But this is the case study for everyone: You call up the Embassy- no one ever answers; You leave your message in their voicemail- you never get a call back; You send them a message in their website- you will feel you became insane and you are back in the Stone-age because your dream of receiveing an email from the Embassy in your Inbox or Spam never gets fulfilled; and You directly give them your Stamped Self-addressed Envelopes so they can deliver your documents as per the rules- forget it dear Indians because you have just wasted precious money on stamps!!!

INDIAN EMBASSY HOSPITALITY

"...This is also one reason why the Indian Embassy is being compared to the Irish Embassy. Almost everyone speaks proudly of the promptness, politeness and professionalism of the Irish!..."

Okay everyone can forgive all the delays and misinformations, but while they take us for a ride, it's the way they talk to everyone that irritates the most. "Rude, harsh & impolite- as though we are their enemies and they were waiting all this time to take revenge on us." Forget the impolite part, they dont even bother to look at your face when you approach them. And the moment they do see your face, they give you that frown- you know, the one that says "what the damn hell do you want coming here early morning and giving us trouble wasting our time...cant you just let us sit and enjoy our time here....Get away from our sight!!!". They dont even let you finish your entire question but ask you to leave even before the query is completed. Alright, no one is asking them to smile and greet the public, but atleast be polite. After all Indians our known for their 'Hospitality' isnt it? This is also one reason why the Indian Embassy is being compared to the Irish Embassy. Almost everyone speaks proudly of the promptness, politeness and professionalism of the Irish! Surely Indian Embassy can learn few important things from the Irish Embassy! There are some who still pray for an Irish to be appointed in the front office of Indian Embassy so that there will be atleast a little bit of relief. The reason is simple, this barbaric attitude has been running for a very long time and the ongoing damage is now way above the head to bear anymore.

MIRACLE- EXPECTING POSITIVE ACTION FROM MINISTERS

"...But that is only a statement and remains to be seen if there will be a solution or not..."

Now, having said this, there a few people who have not been treated in this rude manner and have experienced good service. But most are victims. It is for this majority that a petition is being filed to the Ministers hoping for a miracle. Of course there are those who say that 'there is no use because after all this is a complaint against Indian Government Officials being made to the INDIAN Government'. But that is only a statement and remains to be seen if there will be a solution or not. And there are still many more who are not willing to sign because they are worried of a backlash from the Indian Embassy. Some ask: "But do you really believe that just because one or two persons misuse their position the entire nation suffers from that shame?"
